ACA in partnership with New Hope Therapy offers a team approach
for evaluations when appropriate for all families.
New Hope Therapy evaluation processes utilize standardized testing, as well as our clinical skills to look at the whole child. Their assessment process relies heavily on family involvement and input. New Hope Therapy's goal when evaluating a child, is to identify strengths and weaknesses based on standardized scores and then determine the type(s) of services best suited for the family and child.
As part of the evaluation process it is imperative that the families are educated and equipped to help their child at home. By spending time with the family we can determine their needs and give specific suggestions and ideas of things they can do during their everyday lives that will directly affect their child’s progress.
