ACA incorporates Arkansas State Frameworks with individualized learning plans to create a solid foundation that will give each student the skills and confidence needed to become a lifelong learner. ACA utilizes outdoor learning, in-house therapy, and a focus on growth mindset and mental toughness.
Foundational skills mixed with hands-on, project-based learning helps students reach their academic goals. Students are pulled in multiple small groups daily, based on areas where they excel or need extra help. We hold high accountability for behavior to maintain safety and consistency in the classroom. The ACA model is framed around a growth mindset and classroom community. |
Families deserve to feel empowered and educated in regards to their child's ability to gain the skills and confidence to succeed. Children will realize their full potential when families and educators work in tandem to achieve student growth. Our framework encourages frequent parent communication and consent over curriculum to meet individual children’s educational and social/emotional needs.
Families, staff, and students are not perfect but we all support one another and celebrate personal growth. |
(Due to limited class sizes, please always check with our admissions office for openings and possible placement).
Grades K-6 Academic Model
By partnering with parents, ACA provides a learning environment that enhances each child's educational experience through individualized personal growth plans, small student-teacher ratios, multi-sensory & nature-based teaching techniques, community engagement, faith-based learning, and year-round education.
Focusing on the whole child, ACA blends academic instruction with therapeutic techniques for students of every ability into the classroom; utilizing outdoor learning and research-supported physical activity.
Through these combined efforts, parents and ACA staff foster a life-long love of learning, a growth mindset, and resilient kids. Activities found within the classroom, in nature, and in service to the community weave a fabric for students that goes beyond the typical school walls and reveals our students' roles as stewards, volunteers, and leaders.

Grades 7-9 Academic Model
Maintaining the same whole-child approach to education, our older students shift to a blended classroom consisting of online-learning with support from a certified teacher, paired with in-person teacher instruction and small groups where they can access peer support. These groups also give students an opportunity to practice their communication and collaboration skills.
Students also have a morning Bible devotion time, small-group projects, clubs, and flexible hours for sports and enrichments. We're also the first US school to offer a physical training component through FMS schools, led by staff physical therapist, Annie Massanelli.
